Moderate, West Coast, Democrat  seeks a Press-Legislative Assistant.  Press duties include developing and implementing an overall communications and outreach strategy that includes writing press releases, floor statements and editorials;  producing newsletters and e-newsletters; maintaining media contacts and relationships; managing website; and coordinating telephone town halls.  Legislative portfolio includes a wide variety of issues, including but not limited to  transportation, appropriations and defense.   A successful candidate will be an excellent writer with good interpersonal skills and a sense of humor.
