Senator Ben Cardin seeks an immigration caseworker for a position based in downtown Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities will include answering casework correspondence and oral communications from constituents; communicating with various levels of government officials to apprise them of constituents’ problems and assist in their resolution; and contacting agencies, via telephone and letter, to obtain information to assist constituents. Additional responsibilities include monitoring casework for problems which might be resolved by legislative action. This is not an entry level position. The ideal candidate would have more than two years of experience handling Congressional immigration casework and/or directly related work, and be a compassionate, service and detail orientated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
