Republican committee in the House of Representatives seeks a Chief Clerk/Assistant to the General Counsel.  Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team player. Primary responsibilities include clerking all committee markups, track and compile legislative history of bills, maintain committee legislative files, and issue weekly committee schedule of hearings and markups. Other duties include compiling, circulating, filing and overseeing the printing of committee hearing reports and the committee activities report. Chief Clerk – Senate Committee

Senate Committee seeks an organized and detail oriented individual to serve as Chief Clerk. This Non-Partisan position supports both the Majority and Minority staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: developing and managing the Committee budget, processing vouchers for payment of Committee expenses, handling all payroll transactions, maintaining personnel files, preparing and coordinating committee hearings, editing hearing transcripts, developing and enforcing administrative and emergency preparedness procedures, and overseeing various general administrative functions for the Committee. Position requires confidentiality and discretion. Ideal applicant will be an independent self-starter, possess strong verbal and written skills, have the ability to multi-task, and work well in a fast paced environment. Chief Clerk – Senate Subcommittee on Oversight of Government Management, the Federal Workforce, and the District of Columbia
