Pension Counsel/Advisor – Senate HELP Committee (minority)

The U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, Minority (Ranking Member Senator Patty Murray, D-WA) seeks a Pension Counsel/Advisor.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing legislative and policy proposals; agency oversight; drafting policy memoranda; attending constituent and stakeholder meetings; and preparing for Congressional hearings and floor debate. Applicants should have experience with pensions and ERISA.  They also must work well under pressure, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and have a desire to learn.  Applicants with a law degree are strongly preferred. Tax & Finance Counsel/Advisor – Ways & Means House Democrat

Senior, Progressive, Democratic Ways and Means Committee Member has an opening for a Tax and Finance Counsel/Advisor to handle tax, pension, financial services, small business, immigration, and homeland security policy.

This is not an entry-level position. Ideal candidates have Congressional experience and substantive tax policy/legal knowledge. Applicants should be strong writers with the abilities to learn quickly, multi-task, and work independently in a fluid environment.
