Staff Assistant – Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

The Office of Senator Bernard Sanders seeks a Staff Assistant.  The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and able to work under pressure.  Primary responsibilities include reception duties, to include answering telephones, receiving visitors, as well as serving as the first interaction between constituents and the Senator’s office. Candidate should have the ability to work with minimum supervision; handle multiple tasks; be detail-oriented and highly organized; possess effective oral and written communication skills; have fast and accurate typing skills; and a general knowledge of computers.  Capitol Hill experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and Vermont ties a plus.  This office is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking a diverse pool of candidates.
