Position Available: Senior Executive Communications Clerk

Salary Level/Range: Up to $91,239.00
Proposed Starting Date:  Immediate

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing legal research and organizing, interpreting and processing the status of various executive communications and regulations received by the U. S. House of Representatives.  Will organize and create appropriate official notifications and listings (including electronic formats) of such executive communications.


Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant manner.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the fulfillment of responsibilities performed within the Executive Communications section.

Ability to demonstrate superior organizational and administrative skills.

Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to accurately research and deliver information within a limited time frame.

Must possess a high degree of communication and applicable personal computer skills.

Works directly with various Congressional offices and the Government Printing Office.

Thorough proven knowledge of the House legislative process is required.

A law degree is preferred, and 3 to 5 years of professional experience required.

Must be proficient in statutory law research and have a working knowledge of various law research databases.

A National Security Clearance is required for this position.

This position is identified as a Test Designated Position and is subject to random drug testing.
