Spring Interns – Senator John Boozman (R-AR)

The office of Senator John Boozman is accepting applications for spring 2017 internships in his Washington, D.C. office. Prospective interns should be responsible, focused, self-motivated, and organized. Duties will include answering phones, giving U.S. Capitol tours, front office administration, processing mail, attending hearings and briefings, as well as assisting staff with research, communications, and/or constituent services projects as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for college students who are interested in the political process and are seeking practical, hands-on experience in a Capitol Hill office. Start and end dates are negotiable. Internships are unpaid, but academic credit is available for qualifying students. Candidates must have completed at least two years of undergraduate study and must either be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Arkansas ties preferred but not required. Those interested should submit applications online at: http://www.boozman.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/internships.  Deadline to apply is December 2, 2016.
