Scheduler/Office Manager – Congressman Mike Thompson (D-CA)

California Moderate Democrat seeks a Scheduler and Office Manager for fast paced Washington DC office.  This person will be responsible for the Member’s Washington DC and California short and long term scheduling, personal correspondence, and front office management.  Office Manager responsibilities include managing the Members Representational Allowance and Payroll in collaboration with the Chief of Staff, administering office benefits programs, office equipment procurement, and systems administrative support.  This is not an entry level position. Candidate must possess previous experience in scheduling, familiar with general office operations, strong phone skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, be organized and detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast paced office environment.  Mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook are essential.  Previous Hill experience and Californian ties are preferred.
