Press Assistant – Oregon Senate Democrat

The Press Assistant will support all functions of the press department, including both digital and traditional media. Candidates should have prior experience in political media, journalism or public relations or on the Hill. Superior writing and organizational skills are required. The Press Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a regular presence on social media, including conceiving and drafting social media content, designing graphics, and updating the Senator’s website with new content. He or she will also oversee the daily compilation of news clips and assist with the drafting and editing of press releases, advisories, e-newsletters, video scripts, and other forms of written communication as needed.
