Press Assistant – House Education & the Workforce Committee (minority)

The Democratic staff of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce seeks a mature, professional, dependable, and enthusiastic Press Assistant, reporting directly to the Communications Director and working closely with the press team on a variety of tasks. Strong writing skills, creativity, a voracious appetite for news, and experience with photography and social media are required. The best candidates will have a four-year degree in journalism, communications, political science or a closely related field of study, experience with creating and executing press events, and some level of graphic design capability. Capitol Hill, media, digital, communications or campaign press internship experience is preferred. Graduating seniors and graduate students in the aforementioned disciplines are welcome to apply. This is an entry-level position.
