Office Manager (Helena office) – Senator Steve Daines (R-MT)

U.S. Senator Steve Daines has an opening in his Helena office for an Office Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is experienced with supporting senior management, extremely organized, and detail-oriented. A successful candidate must find public service personally rewarding and share the Senator’s vision for Montana. The position entails a high level of both internal and external communication, which requires a mature ability to answer questions related to the Senator’s work and positions. The Office Manager must use sound judgment in serving constituents and directing questions for assistance to the appropriate colleague. The Office Manager will run the front desk and perform general office duties including answering the phone, scheduling appointments, filing, organizing, and greeting visitors. This job will be most rewarding for an individual who excels at multi-tasking, is able to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritizes assignments, and enjoys a fast-paced work environment. The position requires experience and familiarity with PCs and the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point. Staff also use web based programs to manage constituent services. Experience using cloud based programs, iOS applications, and smartphones is a plus. Requirements include a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8-5, with occasional requirements outside those hours. Salary depends on experience and qualifications, and includes a full-benefit package.
