Legislative Fellow (energy/environment) – House Democrat

Very, very active House democrat seeks an energy and environment legislative fellow. The fellow would work directly with the legislative director focusing on a range of energy and environment projects the office hopes to pursue. Projects are likely to include: climate adaptation, fracking regulation, energy efficiency, public land concerns, coal leasing, oil and gas loopholes, energy finance, and renewables. The office has had numerous fellows in the past who have had great experiences and we treat fellows as full members of the leg team. Fellows will brief the Congressman, staff him, write speeches, do vote recommendations, work on committee responsibilities, and draft legislation. The office would ask for at least a 6 month commitment (ideally more) from the fellow though unfortunately we are not in a position to offer any monetary compensation. We also want someone who is a strong writer, has some policy experience, and is easy going and enjoys working in tight corridors. We can offer a very rewarding and educational experience that goes well beyond most fellowships and a great chance to gain a foothold on Capitol Hill. To apply please send your cover letter, resume, and 3 references in a single pdf to
