Bi-partisan, regional Northeast Midwest Congressional Coalition seeks a Legislative Director to handle all coalition activities.  Ideal candidate must possess excellent oral, written, and research abilities, and be willing to work on a variety of issues with a bipartisan perspective including transportation, housing, energy, environment, and economic development.  Responsibilities include planning briefings and events, updating staff on key issues and legislation, recruiting new members, and maintaining several task forces within the organization.  Previous Hill experience is required, and  the candidate will preferably have ties to the Northeast or Midwest.  The LD will be expected to work with members of the coalition, its leadership, and outside groups to identify issues of importance and develop strategies to address challenges in the region.  Please send a cover letter and résumé to email hidden; JavaScript is required with “NEMW” in the subject line.
