Education Policy Advisor – Senate HELP Committee (majority)
The Majority Education Policy Office of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee is seeking an Education Policy Advisor. The portfolio for this position focuses on higher education policy, such as college access and completion, affordability, student support programs, student financial assistance and regulation. Responsibilities include researching and developing policy, negotiating and drafting legislation, working with advocates and constituents, preparing for hearings, and drafting memos, speeches, and talking points. Interested applicants must be strong writers and independent self-starters who are able to multi-task and work well in a very fast-paced environment. Prior experience in higher education and a graduate degree in related field are preferred. Capitol Hill experience is a plus.
