Correspondence Manager – Senate Democrat

Democratic Senator seeks an extremely organized, detail-oriented, team player with excellent time management skills and an interest in administrative work to oversee a high-volume mailroom in a paperless office.  This position is responsible for: the sorting and routing of all incoming constituent correspondence for response; facilitating the outgoing mail process by monitoring the office’s letter approval process and coordinating with Legislative Correspondents on substantive, timely responses; preparing weekly reports on mail volume, processing time, and other metrics; drafting congratulatory notes on behalf of the Senator; and other duties as assigned.  The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer with 2-3 years of professional experience and a demonstrated ability to use technology to streamline processes.  This is NOT an entry-level position.  Self-described perfectionists are strongly encouraged to apply.   Hill experience and familiarity with Intertrac preferred.  Please e-mail a cover letter and resume to senate_employment@saa.senate.gov with 223276 as the job referral number in the subject line.
