The Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee seeks a detail-oriented analyst with strong quantitative and communication skills for a full-time position. The analyst will be responsible for helping develop and scrutinize budgets and analyzing programs in the policy areas of energy, agriculture and natural resources.  Tasks include crafting and interpreting qualitative and numeric budget proposals, drafting talking points and memoranda, providing verbal briefings, creating charts and assessing relevant Executive Branch activities including budget execution and regulatory actions.  Understanding the federal budget process, budget law, and/or Senate procedure is valued.  Knowledge of the state of Alabama is a plus.  The office is an equal opportunity employer; we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
