The office of Congresswoman Kathy Hochul (NY-26) seeks motivated and enthusiastic interns to begin work in the Washington DC immediately and continue through the Fall. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Fall Interns – Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY)
New York Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the Ranking Member on the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, and the Senior Member from the Northeast on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, is seeking unpaid Interns for the Fall Semester. The internship will start at the end of August and run through mid-December.
Interns will:
Assist in the preparation of constituent responses, memos, bills, and amendments.
Perform legislative research.
Respond to information requests from constituents.
Attend briefings, hearings, and special events where they may have the opportunity to meet with Members of Congress, members of the Cabinet, and leaders of industry and the press.
Interns are also responsible for assisting in sorting incoming mail, greeting visitors, and answering the telephone.
Even though this is an unpaid position interns will gain valuable Hill experience and learn about the federal legislative process.

Progressive California Member seeks Communications Director based in Washington, DC office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to developing a proactive media and outreach strategy, writing press releases, speeches, and op-eds, and pitching stories. Congressman Leonard L. Boswell (IA-03) seeks a motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Intern for the fall of 2012 in his Washington, DC office. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in learning about the workings of Capitol Hill and the legislative process in a busy office. The office of U.S. Congressman Michael Michaud (ME-02) is currently accepting applications for full and part-time fall semester interns beginning in August/September. Daily tasks will vary and include answering phones, running errands, researching legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings, and answering constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns will learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office. All internships are unpaid.
