Fall Interns – New Jersey House Democrat
New Jersey Democratic Congressman Frank Pallone (NJ-06) seeks full time and part time unpaid interns for the Fall 2012 semester. We are seeking personable, hard working and motivated individuals with excellent oral and written communication skills. Job duties will include, but are not limited to: answering phones, assisting staffers with general administrative duties, attending briefings, drafting letters to constituents, and conducting congressional research. New Jersey / East Coast ties are strongly preferred, but not necessary. A good sense of humor is a plus. Director of Economic Development – North Carolina House Democrat
The Office of Congressman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) seeks an Economic Development Director based in Wilson, North Carolina. The Director of Economic Development connects business, non-profit and governmental entities in North Carolina’s First Congressional District with necessary resources for growth and prosperity. The goal of the position is to promote economic development, job creation, and assist with district outreach efforts. The position reports to the District Director, under the direction of the Chief of Staff and the Congressman.
Candidates must have strong ties to North Carolina’s economic development community, be committed to public service and have a willingness to work with a diverse population. Applicants must be willing to drive throughout a geographically expansive district, and be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, and weekends as needed.
Ties to North Carolina’s First Congressional District are strongly preferred. This is not an entry level position.
