U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand seeks a responsible, organized, dependable, patient, and professional Constituent Liaison to address inquiries from constituents regarding matters pertaining to veteran and military affairs, taxation  and finance, postal affairs and academy nominations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as a liaison between constituents and relevant federal agencies, which requires responding to constituent correspondence, tracking data using the office’s database, and working with liaisons at federal agencies to resolve constituent issues. Responsibilities also include monitoring casework to identify systemic problems that may be resolvable through legislative action. The liaison is also responsible for our statewide veteran outreach program, which seeks to build local partnerships around New York State with veteran stakeholders and address relevant issues facing our veterans and their families. Applicants must be self-motivated team players; able to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality; possess strong written and verbal communication skills; and be proficient with computers. Individuals with prior military service encouraged to apply. Past or current residency in New York preferred. Salary commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits.
