Legislative Assistant – Missouri Senate Democrat

Senator McCaskill seeks an experienced, energetic individual to handle telecom, technology, transportation, consumer product safety, patent and copyright reform and auto portfolio. Additional issues may be added. Responsibilities include staffing the Senator in the Commerce Committee as well as managing and completing all legislative work in the assigned issue areas; preparing materials for meetings, briefings, and hearings; drafting legislation; advising the Senator on information related to legislation and key issues within responsible policy areas; representing the Senator at official events and in constituent meetings; and working with the Legislative Director and Chief of Staff to strategically accomplish the Senator’s goals. Qualified candidates will also have strong management, writing, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills; the ability to perform well under pressure while juggling multiple tasks; and sound judgment. Intern – Colorado House Republican

The Washington DC office of Representative Scott Tipton (CO-03) is currently seeking applicants for a spring internship position. Internship positions are available to qualified college students or recent graduates with Colorado ties. Internships provide valuable real world experience of our legislative process. Responsibilities include assisting staff with legislative research and writing, attending briefings and committee hearings. Interns will also be responsible for providing tours of the capitol, answering phones, and helping staff process constituents mail and inquiries. Candidates should have an interest in the legislative process, be motivated, organized and reliable, and possess strong communication and writing skills. Intern – Wisconsin House Republican

Counsel – Senate Rules Committee (majority)
