Interns – House Natural Resources Committee (majority)
The Republican Majority staff of the Committee on Natural Resources in the U.S. House of Representatives is now accepting applications for unpaid internships. Positions are available immediately (January) and also for the summer. Responsibilities include: assisting Committee staff, supporting hearings, answering phones, greeting visitors, and research. Interns will be assigned special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be motivated, mature, detail orientated and possess the ability to multi-task. This is an excellent opportunity for a college student or recent graduate looking to gain experience working on Capitol Hill. It is preferred that interns are able to work a minimum of two days per week, from approximately 9:00am-5:30pm. Staff Assistant – Minnesota House Republican
A conservative Midwest member is seeking a Staff Assistant for his Washington office. Candidate must have fundamental understanding of the legislative process, possess strong organization skills and have some experience with IQ. Responsibilities include but not limited to greeting and screening visitors and callers, managing the tour and flag systems, and performing general administrative duties.
