Midwest Democrat seeks a temporary press secretary to work on special projects and handle basic press duties for the first 6-9 months of 2012. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and analytical skills, an ability to respond quickly and accurately to members of the media, and capable of thinking outside the box.
The candidate will be responsible for developing briefing materials, talking points, op-eds and speeches for the Congressman; developing proactive press events to provide information to constituents about the Congressman’s record; update the Congressman’s website; speak to the media on record and respond to press requests.
