Candidates must have at least three years of legislative experience in the United States Congress and be adept at using the Appropriations process to advance a broad legislative agenda. Scheduler – Southern House Democrat
Southern Democrat seeks scheduler for fast paced Washington, D.C. office. This person will be responsible for the Member’s daily and long-term schedule in Washington, D.C. and the district, managing invites and scheduling requests, providing travel and logistical accord, collecting and distributing briefings, preparing events and meetings, acting as a liaison to constituents, handling the member’s personal correspondence, and various additional administrative duties. This person must be a good writer, discrete, savvy, able to multi-task, meticulously organized, and able to quickly solve problems in a fast-paced work environment. Candidate should be comfortable dealing with a wide variety of people. Previous Capitol Hill scheduling experience is strongly preferred but not required. A good sense of humor is a must.
