Centrist Pennsylvania Democrat seeks legislative assistant to handle very active health care portfolio, with some additional policy work on other domestic issues, including education. Applicants should have at least two years of legislative assistant experience and be a self-starter with a team-oriented personality. Senior Northeastern Senator seeks an experienced, media savvy professional to help run an aggressive communications office. Press Secretary reports directly to the Communications Director. Candidates must have two years plus Congressional experience in press relations/communications and must be willing to work as a media liaison and spokesperson for an independent minded member of the Democratic Caucus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, press releases, statements and talking points, coordinating media events and press conferences, tracking coverage, media strategy and outreach. Candidates must be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment under strict deadlines.
