Communications Director – House Democrat

Legislative Assistant – House Democrat

Democratic Member seeks experienced, knowledgeable and politically savvy Legislative Assistant to handle health care, transportation, tradeand other issues. Systems and Mail Administrator – Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO)

Senate office has an immediate opening for a Systems and Mail Administrator using VOICE Constituent Management System. Responsibilities include management of the portfolio and performance of LCs as well as the overall management of all incoming and outgoing mail. Candidate works closely with legislative staff to ensure that existing letters are updated properly. Candidate will also brainstorm possible proactive mailings to constituents and then be charged with full management of all proactive mailings. Candidate’s responsibilities will also include creating and managing user accounts, monitoring and backing up file and print servers, providing technical support on PCs, printers, blackberries, and other office equipment for DC and state offices as well as handling hardware/software purchasing, and systems maintenance. Individual must be well-organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently. Applicants should also possess strong technical, interpersonal and management skills as well as the ability to work on deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Prior Hill experience is strongly preferred, prior experience with systems administration and VOICE is a plus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
